A sad and strange scene played out at an R train subway station in Brooklyn, after a train operator tried to run from police while being questioned about striking and killing a man who leaped in front of the oncoming train.

A sad and strange scene played out at an R train subway station in Brooklyn, after a train operator tried to run from police while being questioned about striking and killing a man who leaped in front of the oncoming train.

The victim, who hasn’t been identified, allegedly tried to commit suicide as the R train pulled into the station at 77th Street-4th Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, just before 10 a.m. and at the tail-end of the morning rush. Cops pronounced the man dead at the station. Police then went to question the train operator and he reportedly freaked out and “bolted” onto the tracks himself. Per the New York Post:  >
