CEO of Price-Gouging Drug Company Could Have Picked a Better Binder to Pose Beside

Under the leadership of CEO Heather Bresch, Mylan has increased the wholesale price of EpiPens — which children rely on to survive severe allergic reactions — by 400 percent since 2007. During that same time period, Mylan increased Bresch’s salary by 671 percent, to nearly $19 million a year. This has created a public-relations problem.

To help stem the tide of public outrage, Bresch gave an interview to the New York Times on Friday. Here is a photograph that Bresch posed for, which ran as the lead image in the Times’ story. Note the binder whose title reads “Compensation Review with the CEO.”
