Donald Trump’s sniffles during last night’s debate were not the result of a cold or a sign of cocaine use, as Howard Dean suggested, because, as Trump told Fox & Friends this morning, he didn’t sniffle at all. So what, then, were all those snifflelike sounds viewers heard? “Breathing,” Trump said.

Trump had previously complained that his microphone was “defective.” In the spin room after the debate, he told reporters, “I had a mic that wasn’t working properly.” Sounds fine here.
