A day after CNN ended its relationship with commentator and DNC head Donna Brazile, the news network’s president, Jeff Zucker, ripped the Democratic strategist for “disgusting” behavior that “hurts” everyone at CNN.
“I have no tolerance for her behavior or that kind of behavior,” he said in a Tuesday editorial meeting, according to the Huffington Post’s Michael Calderone. Brazile, who is accused of handing Hillary Clinton questions before two different primary debates, reportedly offered her resignation to CNN on October 14. On Monday, CNN announced that her tenure had ended.
Zucker’s harsh words for Brazile are not a surprise, if one assumes he’s dedicated to impartiality. But this is the same guy who has continually gone to bat for former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who’s employed as a CNN commentator despite his ongoing relationship with the Trump campaign.
