Yesterday's most amazing attendance figure was not the record-setting 105,121 who showed up at the new Cowboys Stadium to see the Giants steal a victory, but the reported 38,347 who came to Citi Field to see the walking-dead Mets take on the stillborn Washington Nationals. While that official number seems a wee inflated, New York's sports desk was in attendance and can confirm: There was a large crowd in Flushing yesterday afternoon, and many members thereof even seemed to be having a good time.
