We know that everyone out there has been envious of Pittsburgh residents for years, and now you have a concrete reason: Sporting News magazine has named Pittsburgh Best Sports City for 2009. New York finished fifth, down a spot from last year and down three spots from 2007. We were tenth in 2005, and first in 2001, probably because the Rangers were 36-38-4-4 that year. (Full disclosure: Sports Section co-editor Will Leitch is a columnist for Sporting News magazine, where he has the worst column photo imaginable.)
