When we read that honchos at the the Bowl Championship Series had created an entire website and Twitter feed dedicated to arguing the absurd premise that college football is better off being the only sport in the NCAA (or universe) that doesn’t crown its champion via a playoff tournament, our first thought was that we should start a fake BCS Twitter feed. Our second thought was about what kinds of cars we were going to buy with all of our sweet, sweet Hollywood Twitter money. Unfortunately for our imaginary stretch Hummer containing a Jacuzzi and a Big Buck Hunter console, there already is a FakeBCS Twitter; fortunately for you, the reader, it’s funnier than what we would have come up with (“BCS PR Team: NOW HIRING! Applicants need strong writing skills, a deep understanding of social media & doubts about evolution”).
