The Week of the Big East Tournament

This week was all about Big East basketball at the Garden. On Tuesday, St. John's pulled off a first-round upset, knocking UConn out of the tournament and off the bubble. But our dream of a city team in the Big Dance officially ended Wednesday, when the Johnnies lost to Marquette. (Norm Roberts's dream of not getting fired reportedly ended, too.) Then yesterday, things got weird: Syracuse lost, and so did Villanova and Pitt. But what happened this week that didn't involve a student band playing "Carry on Wayward Son?"

The Rangers lost twice.

The Knicks won, then made history by losing.

Jose Reyes was told to take it easy for two to eight weeks.

Yankee Stadium came a-tumblin' down.

We counted down the twentieth through sixteenth most important Mets.

And we counted down the twentieth through sixteenth most important Yankees.

That's it for us this week. Have fun filling out your bracket on Sunday. (Spoiler alert: You're going to lose your office pool to someone whose picks are based on team colors.) We'll see you Monday.
