Dominic Moore Is a Playoff Hero

Okay, maybe he's not the hero of the series for the Canadiens — that honor goes to Jaroslav Halak — but the former middling Ranger can now say he's got a game-winning goal in a game seven against a top seed that cruised to the Presidents' Trophy. A year after rallying from a 3–1 series deficit against the Rangers, it was the Capitals who choked this time: Coach Bruce Boudreau said after the game he'd have bet his house that they wouldn't have lost three straight. So now, in the wacky Eastern Conference playoffs, seventh-seeded Philadelphia gets to play a team that won fewer regular-season games than it did, and sixth-seeded Boston — a team that won just 39 of its 82 games — gets home-ice advantage.
