It turns out, Mets manager Jerry Manuel wasn't kidding around: He's really going to bat Jose Reyes third against the Braves this weekend. The best defense we can find for this move is that lineups don't really matter, not in the grand scheme of things. That's all we got. We'll let Amazin' Avenue sum this one up: "Among other things that could magically cause the Mets to start hitting better (apart from a few more plate appearances), I have enlisted the services of a local warlock named Gorblon whose powerful (and expensive!) execration of the Mets' hitting woes is expected to take effect in the next few days, or whenever the Mets actually start hitting better. We shall see, Gorblon. We shall see."
