The Nuance of ESPN, Combined With the Humble Timorousness of New York

For those of you who find that your life is generally happy and pleasant but could use more ESPN, you're in luck: Espnnewyork.com launched last night. The site begins the way you'd probably expect it to: story about the Yankees defending their title, story about LeBron coming to New York, story about there's no way Derek Jeter would leave the Bronx, so on. It's an impressive roster of talent, though: Ian O'Connor, Wallace Matthews, Shaun Powell, Johnette Howard and Adam Rubin are all onboard. (ESPN New York is basically Newsday, except it's a Newsday you are actually able to read using your computing device.) As Gabriel Sherman pointed out in GQ this week, ESPN is expanding its local coverage, and knowing them, by 2025, there will be an Espnyourbrain.com that will provide nonstop updates about your fantasy roster, your daughter's soccer team, and that dream you had about David Robinson that one time.
