Rain in Detroit last night pushed Javier Vazquez's triumphant return to the rotation back yet another day — the anticipation is killing us! — and he'll now take the mound in about 30 minutes in the first game of a doubleheader against the Tigers. This actually presents two problems for the Yankees: It leaves them without a regular starter for Sunday's game against Minnesota, and since Vazquez is no stranger to early exits, the bullpen might have to throw a lot of innings this afternoon, with another game, to be started by Phil Hughes, to follow tonight. Damn you, weather.
