Darrelle Revis Ready to Hold Out in Order to Get Paid

Darrelle Revis appears prepared to sit out when veterans report to training camp August 1 if he doesn't have a reworked contract in place — even if an extended holdout costs him an accrued year toward free agency. Revis, we'll remind you, wants to be the highest-paid cornerback in the league, which would mean a contract worth about $15 to $16 million per season. Also, this all may somehow hinge on Peyton Manning. [NYDN]
