David Lee: A (Brief) Appreciation

Within minutes of LeBron James’s DECISIONWATER last night, the Knicks pulled the trigger on a trade they’d already agreed upon, pending James’s DECISIONWATER: They shipped David Lee to the Golden State Warriors. We’ll look at the players the Knicks got back a little later today, but for now, let’s take a moment to say good-bye to David Lee, the Knicks’ lone all-star since 2001. Lee steadily improved every year with the Knicks, is on several franchise-history leaderboards, and was generally a positive, likable guy. (The Warriors finally gave him the big payday he’d been waiting for.) The last few years would have been even worse without him. He is wished well. And if he ever feels slighted by the Knicks, he can watch this video of him dunking on Amar’e Stoudemire, over and over.
