This Afternoon in Bicycle Racing: Head-Butts

Today's Stage 11 of the Tour de France was looking a snoozefest ... until Australian Mark Renshaw started head-butting the guy next to him while jockeying for position. Renshaw was acting as lead-out man for his HTC-Columbia teammate Mark Cavendish, who ended up winning his third stage of this Tour and the thirteenth stage of his career, a Tour record for sprint stages. The head-butt recipient, New Zealand's Julian Dean, was acting as lead-out man for top American sprinter Tyler Farrar of Team Garmin-Transitions. Post-head-butt, Renshaw moved right in front of Farrar to block him from chasing down Cavendish. He was immediately thrown out of the Tour. Click through to check out the video.
