minor league stadium crawl

We’re Off to Somerset County!

Our summer-long Minor League Stadium Crawl concludes tonight with a trip to TD Bank Ballpark, home of the Atlantic League’s Somerset Patriots. This will be our second look at the Patriots — they were the opponent when we kicked off our tour at Long Island’s Suffolk County Sports Park back in April — but they’ve since added a new name to their roster: former “Generation K” member Bill Pulsipher, who began the season as a player/coach with Yuma of the Golden League, and is now on his 24th team since his rookie year with the Mets.

The Freedom Division’s second-half champion, Somerset has already clinched a playoff berth. (They’ll again be playing Long Island tonight.) If you’re going to the game, do stop over and say hello. Game time is 6:35, and it’s both Cycling Night AND Star Trek Night.
