Howie Rose, Frustrated Islanders Play-by-Play Man, Inadvertently Coins a New Islanders Slogan

During a stoppage in last night’s Islanders-Thrashers game — that’s thirteen straight losses for the Islanders now, by the way — MSG+ experienced some technical difficulties and kept play-by-play man Howie Rose’s microphone live during what should have been a commercial break. So what does Rose think about the team he’s currently covering? At one point, Rose, who also calls Mets games, wonders aloud, “Is it spring training yet?” And lest you think Rose simply has a case of Terry Collins Fever, there’s this, moments later: “Let me know how this game turns out — not that I particularly care.” And thus was born a new slogan for the 2010–11 New York Islanders.
