Care to Guess Which Major TV Market Had the Lowest Ratings for Last Night’s BCS Championship Game?

Yep, it's New York. Via Neil Best, last night's Auburn-Oregon game was the most-watched scheduled program in cable-television history, averaging 27.3 million viewers — good for a 15.3 rating. But among the 56 major markets measured, New York ranked dead last with an 8.1 rating. Finishing first? The Birmingham area, where 67 percent of homes tuned in to watch Auburn win all the Tostitos.
