Jorge Posada Is Batting Seventh Tonight

So there you go. Outfielder Chris Dickerson, by the way, has the distinction of hitting ninth tonight. (Considering it'll be his first start with the Yankees — he was acquired in the Sergio Mitre trade — one assumes he's happy to be batting anywhere in the lineup.) If you're wondering why Dickerson is starting in right field, it's because Nick Swisher is ill. And if you're wondering why he's on the roster in the first place, it's because, yep, Rafael Soriano was placed on the fifteen-day disabled list. [LoHud Yankees Blog]
