Baseball Labor Talks Are Going Well, at Least

At least one professional sports league doesn't seem to be having any major issues with its labor talks this year: Major League Baseball and its players union are reportedly close to a new collective bargaining agreement. (The current one expires next month.) The last hurdle has to do with signing bonuses for drafted players, but the sides are reportedly making progress on the issue. One official told Buster Olney that talks are "at the ten-yard line," though considering Billy Hunter said last month that NBA labor talks were on the three-yard line, perhaps that doesn't really tell us much.
