Ahmad Bradshaw Plans on Playing Sunday

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for the Giants, between the ugly home loss to Philly, the embarrassing blowout loss in New Orleans, and a report yesterday that Osi Umenyiora’s ankle injury will keep him out two to four weeks. So here, finally, is some encouraging news: Ahmad Bradshaw, who hasn’t played since Week Eight against Miami, says he intends to play this Sunday against Green Bay. (Needless to say, the Giants’ running game badly needs an effective Bradshaw; it’s frankly been hard to watch Brandon Jacobs of late.) Bradshaw says he isn’t likely to practice much this week because he wants to be as healthy as possible for Sunday. And though getting a win against the undefeated Packers won’t be easy with or without Bradshaw, look at it this way: If all goes well, at least he’ll be good to go for the following week’s critical game against Dallas.
