Paul Lukas, ESPN's sports uniform maven, noticed something in the incredibly eerie video footage of folks in North Korea mourning Kim Jong-Il's death. There amid the mourners is a baby-faced little tyke wearing what is unmistakably a New York Yankees beanie (I double-checked to make sure that wasn't actually an interlocking N and K, and it wasn't). That's some pretty impressive reach for the Yankees brand. More impressive even than the cap that guy was wearing at the scene of Muammar Qaddafi's capture. Well done, Yankees. Now I'm just overcome with curiosity about how that hat found its way to that head.
