Remember those reports about how the Kings were open to trading Dustin Brown, and how the Rangers were interested? Well, CBC’s Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Kings general manager Dean Lombardi is telling inquiring GMs that Brown isn’t available. He says it’s possible the team backtracked after Brown’s name got out. So is it time to suspend the Dustin Brown Watch, just hours after it started to heat up? Says Friedman, over two tweets: “Think he was available to a small number of teams (at least two). It got out and snowballed on them. If one of those teams steps up, could it still happen? That’s the question.” The trade deadline is Monday at 3 p.m.
