The ruling is in: Judge Jed S. Rakoff determined in this morning's crucial decision that Fred Wilpon and Saul Katz owe up to $83 million in "fictitious profits" to Irving Picard and company. They're also headed to further trial, beginning March 19th, with 300 million more dollars at stake. Thus, the off-field distractions will continue as the Mets and their fans prepare for what might be a rough couple of months and/or years.
