The Garden Won’t Host Next Year’s NCAA East Regional
Andy Katz reports that the NCAA had been interested in holding the East Regional of next year's men's basketball tournament at Madison Square Garden — it's the 75th anniversary of the event — but found out yesterday that it wouldn't be possible due to their late request and because dates have already been reserved for the Knicks and Rangers. The city could still host the event, though: Katz reports that the NCAA will now choose between Syracuse and Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
