A-Rod Isn’t in the Game 4 Lineup, and Neither Is Curtis Granderson

At this point, would it surprise anyone if Joe Girardi just let CC Sabathia bat for himself in Game 4? (All he'd have to do is shift tonight's DH, Raul Ibanez, to an outfield position once the game began.) Okay, maybe that won't happen, but Girardi is once again sitting Alex Rodriguez against a right-handed starter in tonight's must-win game and playing Eric Chavez, who remains hitless in the postseason, at third. Nick Swisher, who was benched last night, will play right and bat second. (Yes, he's gone from benched to batting second in 24 hours.) Brett Gardner will get his second start of the playoffs; this time, he'll play center and bat eighth. Curtis Granderson, meanwhile, isn't in the starting lineup. Nope, no panicking happening here.

Here's the full lineup, once again via Chad Jennings of the LoHud Yankees blog:

1. Ichiro Suzuki  (LF)
2. Nick Swisher (RF)
3. Robinson Cano (2B)
4. Mark Teixeira (1B)
5. Raul Ibanez (DH)
6. Eric Chavez (3B)
7. Russell Martin (C)
8. Brett Gardner (CF)
9. Eduardo Nunez (SS)
