It Looks Like the NHL Is Ready to Cancel Some More Games

Dan Girardi of the New York Rangers and Bruce Springsteen Dan Girardi won't be playing at the Garden on December 12, but Bruce Springsteen will be.

Chris Botta reported yesterday that if a new CBA isn't in place in the next seven days, the NHL will cancel games through December 15. As has been pointed out, even if a new CBA was reached tomorrow, the league would likely need to draw up a modified schedule anyway. But even if games through mid-December haven't officially been cancelled quite yet, the Garden apparently already knows they're not happening as planned: The arena's big Hurricane Sandy benefit concert, which you can read about over at Vulture, will take place on December 12, when, technically, the Rangers are still scheduled to host Montreal at 7 p.m.
