Russian president Vladimir Putin made some news this week, but we'll leave that story to our colleagues over at Daily Intelligencer. Instead, here's a video of Putin taking part in an exhibition hockey game after his inauguration in May. Putin scored a goal during the game and — spoiler alert — added another in the shoot-out. Note the less-than-extraordinary effort by the opposing goalie during said shoot-out.
Today is Day 104 of the NHL lockout. The league reportedly made a new proposal yesterday with the hopes of restarting negotiations, so that's something, we guess.
