I could choose almost anything from Freaks and Geeks, but this scene, from the episode "Dead Dogs and Gym Teachers," is one of the best. Über-nerd Haverchuck is having an awful day: He's ostracized and alienated — and now his single mom is dating the bullying gym teacher he hates. He comes home to watch Garry Shandling, alone. It's both gross and poignant, but I also love the way it captures the happiness of watching something you really love.
