Tell me everything you're wearing.
This is a 1940s fun, frivolous hat. The coat is 1950s and this is an antique crinoline with a contemporary jacket over it, which I'm happy to take off for you. It's about orange and about color and about the season. So it's a tailored look with a little poof underneath.
Do you know the brand on anything?
The jacket's by a woman named Rosemary Wolf. And the coat's by Lily.
Is that a 1950s brand?
Yes. And the snood is Forties. It's a combination; I'm not a purist. I mix and match things to create my own style. The earrings are contemporary stars done by Clark Ruskin. The pins in the hat are Medusa's Heirlooms.
It's very festive for early in the morning; I'm barely awake.
I'm awake and it took me five minutes to put this look together.
Are you kidding me?
No, I have an organized closet. So I just went in and decided I was going to do this story around the crinoline—short and fluffy for spring-like winter weather.
