Anna Molinari started her eponymous label in 1995 as an upmarket offshoot to her successful Blumarine line. Her daughter, Rossella Tarabini, took the reins as creative director two years later, giving the line an edgy spin. Taking inspiration from vintage and rock and roll from the sixties and seventies, Tarabini’s Anna Molinari was full of flirty pieces like two-tone party frocks, jumpsuits, and sharp-looking tuxedo jackets. In 2007, Tarabini stepped down as head designer, and the collection is now under the direction of Tarabini’s former team and produced by Italian manufacturer Sinv SpA.
