Gen Art
Originially operating from founder Ian Gerard's dorm kitchen at NYU Law School, Gen Art has expanded over the past ten years to produce more than 100 events in more than a dozen cities. Gen Art is the leading national not-for-profit organization dedicated to showcasing the best emerging talent in film, fashion and the visual arts. Gen Art has succeeded in launching the careers of many young fashion designers by providing them with high-profile, alternatively formatted events that welcome industry and non-industry audiences alike. Six Gen Art alumni have been nominated for the CFDA Perry Ellis Design Award: Rebecca Taylor, Rebecca Danenberg, ORFI, Rafe, Zac Posen and Peter Som.
