Label Overview

The namesake label of Danish designer Jens Laugesen, this London-based line was a favorite of European editors before it folded in 2008. Launched in 2002, the line and its designer received several notable awards, including the ANDAM award. Minimalism and androgyny defined the designs, with deconstructed tuxedo jackets and spare black dresses filling the collections. Despite potential manufacturing and distribution licensing deals on the horizon, the label’s investors couldn’t come through in time to save it from the economic downturn; announcement of its closing came in November 2008.
