Daily Fashion & Runway News
L’Wren Scott’s love of clothing took flight in her youth, when she tailored her own clothes to fit her lanky frame. Her eye for fashion was honed as a stylist in the wardrobe departments of movie sets, and backstage at fashion shows, where she modeled for labels like Chanel and Thierry Mugler. After working as a sought-after stylist, she launched her label in October of 2006, and has shown her poetically titled collections in New York to much acclaim. Built upon sleek, rock and roll elegance, L’Wren Scott’s timely-but-not-trendy clothes have become a favorite in the upper reaches of the art world, as well as on the red carpet.
“These are pretty, uncomplicated clothes that can plug holes in the wardrobes of the tall, the thin, the very rich (up to $5,000 for a dress).”—Amy Larocca New York Look
“I like a very sexy silhouette and I like to feel like when you put something on, you zip yourself into it and you're secure in there.”—L'Wren Scott New York Look
