Mark Montano

Mark Montano got his start in the fashion industry as an intern for Oscar de la Renta. He later received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to design costumes for the Tier Throne Dance Company in New York City, and since then has operated his signature boutique in the East Village. The youngest member ever to be inducted into the CFDA, Montano continues to expand his horizons, both within his clothing line and in other arenas. His collection now includes home décor, and he recently joined CosmoGirl Magazine as a contributing editor writing a "Cool Room" interiors column. Montano also writes a weekly column for more than 70 newspapers across the country. Titled "Make your Mark," the column answers readers' questions with Mark's own "do it yourself" advice. Adding to his numerous media achievements, Montano also recently joined the designer team on the Learning Channel's "While You Were Out." Montano also provided wardrobes for films starring Ethan Hawke and Stockard Channing. His customers include Tori Amos, Carly Simon, LeAnn Rimes, Juliette Lewis, Kirsty Hume, Tia Carrera and Natasha Richardson.
