With Kristin Chenoweth, Kelly Rutherford, and Stanley Tucci.
Ohio native Nanette Lepore has taken her boho childhood and used it as inspiration for her critically acclaimed designs. Launched in 1992, her gypsy-influenced designs are feminine and youthful. The looks are full of bold colors and bright prints, with ruffles and lace that manage to look good-time-girly but not overly frilly. Lepore has also branched out into shoe and fragrance design.
“Ruffles showed up in virtually every look, from a supersoft cropped leather jacket with fluttery sleeves to silk skirts with seriously flouncy hems.”—Romney Leader Style.com
“There were no rules of the runway for Nanette Lepore: Stripes were mixed with florals, bright orange and pink blended with gray and beige, and linen was paired with lace.... She used a lot of all-over prints, especially on wispy below-the-knee dresses, including an adorable strapless collage-floral sarong and flounce dress... Pants were short, too, with exaggerated wide legs but otherwise tailored and ready to go to work. She paired them with a series of one-shoulder tops or a jacket with a bow.”—Samantha Critchell Associated Press
