'Project Runway' Designers

Check out NYMag's complete guide to Project Runway

Kathleen “Sweet P” Vaughn
This Los Angeles–based designer got her nickname while riding in an all-girl motorcycle club called the Hells Belles. In the past, she’s worked at Bebe and a sleepwear line, and now she wants to resurrect her “Sweet P” from her yesteryear. She takes her cues from Prada, John Galliano, Marni, Chloé, Phillip Lim, and Balenciaga.

Rami Kashou
A Jerusalem native, Kashou is known for his dramatic draping and red-carpet gowns, proven by his work dressing celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Fergie, Tyra Banks, and Lindsay Lohan. He draws inspiration from his favorite designers Victor & Rolf and Olivier Theyskens.

Christian Siriano
Siriano loves anything fierce, as evidenced by his previous work for Alexander McQueen and the queen of punk herself, Vivienne Westwood. The youngest contestant on the show, he just graduated from the American Intercontinental University in London and now travels between New York City and Los Angeles as a freelance designer.

Chris March
This freelance costume designer is based in New York City with a client list that includes Cirque du Soleil, Madonna, and Thierry Mugler. As represented by his work, he’s a fan of lush fabrics, humor, and an unpredictable use of materials (such as food) and his aesthetic is, as he explains, for ”the woman who wants to stand out in a crowd.”

Jillian Lewis
A Long Island native, Lewis graduated from Parsons School of Design and worked as a concept designer and illustrator at Rugby by Ralph Lauren and as a designer at Searle. Art inspires her, as she's often inspired by the illustrations of Ruben Toledo and Patrick Nagel, the architecture of Antoni Gaudí and Santiago Calatrava, and the art of Egon Schiele.
