Elizabeth Ammerman, Fashion Student

“My parents wanted me to study medicine, but instead I went to Pratt.”

Those shoes must hurt.
They’re Gareth Pugh wedges. They’re platforms, so my foot isn’t contorted. I wear them every day, so I’m used to it.

Every single day?
I like to look good. I’ve lost the feeling in my toes, because I wear heels all the time. I don’t know if that’s good or not.

Probably not. Do anything interesting this summer?
I just went to my job at Seven New York in Soho, and worked on my personal-style blog, the Trashicist.

The Trashicist?
It’s because people say I dress trashy, and I like the word, too. I take it to mean unconventional.

Where are you from?
Amarillo, Texas. I get pointed at.
