Did you want to be an artist when you were a little girl?
I wanted to play basketball. I grew up playing street ball.
What kind of art do you do?
I draw on my clothes—little doodles and stuff.
Did you make that jacket?
No, but I did paint on it. It was just a plain old jean jacket. I was bored of it. It needed something.
Any big plans this spring?
To get a driver’s license.
How’s that going?
I haven’t driven since I was a teenager and my dad would take us out and teach us. I’m 28 now.
Where will you drive when you get your license?
Down south. I like open-air, wind-in-your-hair kind of driving. Not all the honking and shouting.
What’s your favorite road-trip movie?
I’d say Fear and Loathing, but that’s really trippy. I won’t be tripping on acid, so maybe Thelma & Louise. I’m hoping to pick up Brad Pitt, yeah.
