What was the baby store like?
Ironic. I learned I was pregnant a few weeks after I started working there. It was a dreary time; I had to deal with perky pregnant people all day. I would just glare at them.
You seem happy now.
Yeah, my son, he’s amazing. He’s a weirdo like me.
How so?
When I was little, I used to flush everything down the toilet, including my mom’s cell phone. Now my son likes to play with the toilet, and my mom says, “That’s your son, all right.”
