Do you analyze everyone you meet?
I try not to, but it’s like reading: Once you learn how, you can never not read. My daughters, bless their hearts, gave me a hard time when they were growing up. They’d say, “Don’t talk all that bullshit therapist talk to us, just talk regular!” But I’ve been watching Arrested Development, and it’s hard for me to turn off my professional radar.
Which character would you most like to analyze?
The one that lives with his mother. What’s his name, Bongo?
Buster?
Yeah, Buster.You could get quite a bit of mileage out of his Oedipal complex.
