Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III, of the L.A.-based artist collaborative FriendsWithYou, studied tarot and divination while developing their resin Psychic Stones—which they’ll be selling at PK Shop, Paul Kasmin Gallery’s eclectic work-retail space ($800 at 511 W. 27th St., nr. Tenth Ave.; 212-563-5608), starting October 24. Mold-cast, pigment-dyed, and imbued with an empowering spell, each one-pound stone comes with instructions for how to harness its positive energy. (Place the “Evil Expel” stone in a high place, for example.) Borkson and Sandoval will even be booking private consultations at the PK Shop opening (October 24 from 6 to 8 p.m.). If you’re not moved by any of the stones on display, Borkson explains, “We can do a casual reading into the state of your psyche.” The result? A one-of-a-kind symbol, tailored to your desires—whether they be deeper perception, sturdier grounding, better sex, or some combination thereof.
