Singer-drummer John Pugh recently left the exuberant indie-disco band !!! to devote his full attention to Free Blood, the more stripped-down side project he’d been cultivating with singer Madeline Davy for the past few years.
A lot of people are calling Free Blood “sex party music.” True or false?
PUGH: Oh my God.
DAVY: I think it’s much more awkward than that.
PUGH: Way more awkward. There’s definitely a party aspect and probably a sex aspect as well, but I would say it’s more like an awkward, falling-over-the-place, breaking furniture kind of sex.
