Radio City Christmas Spectacular

An oldie but a goodie, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular features the Rockettes high-kicking to classics like songs from The Nutcracker, the piece "The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers," and more. More than a million people come to see it every year, so shouldn't you be one of them by now?

Holiday Train Show

The New York Botanical Garden turns into a winter wonderland for its annual Train Show, in which more than 150 local landmarks are re-created using nuts, bark, and leaves. Watch model trains zip through a quarter-mile of miniaturized familiar sights, including the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building, without having to deal with the holiday crowds.
Dates: Nov. 15 to Jan. 19

The 41st Annual Merry Tuba Christmas at Rockefeller Center
The Rink at Rockefeller Center, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, nr. 48th St.
This wonderfully unconventional Christmas tradition is gearing up for another run, as hundreds of tubists will gather to play carols and other crowd-pleasers in front of the iconic Rockefeller Center tree.

Winter Family Day

The famed haven for book lovers will be hosting a day celebrating classic children’s literature and featuring a craft workshop and costumes for kids to dress up as their favorite literary characters.

Looking for a boost of holiday spirit for the whole family? Carnegie Hall has you covered. It'll be hosting the New York Pops in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer’s TV premiere.

Carol Sing With the New York City Children’s Chorus

Adults and kids alike will enjoy this concert, now in its tenth year, featuring traditional readings and songs sung by schoolchildren in grades 4 through 12 and a post-show reception.

11th Annual Family Holiday Craft Workshop

Artist Kathy Trimarco hosts this workshop in which families can create holiday crafts (and maybe some gifts) from natural materials, all inspired by the Greenbelt’s 2,800 beautiful acres.

Winter Solstice Celebration
