The Workout: The classes here are similar to what you’ll find at Physique 57, Core Fusion, and the Bar Method, i.e. Lotte Berke–derived, 60 minutes, and designed to create long, lean muscles.
The Deal: Gift cards for discounted monthly membership packages are available through December. For those who don’t make it in until January, they’ll be offering $100 gift cards to anyone who purchases a one-month Nalini Method membership ($245, includes unlimited Nalini Method and yoga classes).

The Goal: Lose Pounds

The Workout: The new spinning studio Cycle Bar opens in Park Slope this month with classes that burn up to 600 calories in 45 minutes. Sessions are offered at all levels, with a 90-minute “Road Ride” that caters to serious cyclists.
The Deal: Cycle Bar officially opens December 21, but they’re holding an open house December 18 to 20, offering complimentary classes and a $2-off-per-ride discount on class packages that can be used into the new year.

The Goal: Holiday Detoxing

The Workout: Former Morgan Stanley analyst Lauren Imparato’s vigorous 90-minute Vinyasa classes, which are taught out of her handsome Little Italy loft, end with most students leaving wrung out and energized.
The Deal: Starting the second week in January, Imparto is offering her Detox + Yoga program at $480 (normally $780), which includes ten yoga classes and three weeks of her detox course: a guided regimen of cleansing teas, daily meal plans, and nutritional counseling.

The Goal: Build Shapely Arms

The Workout: Sessions of this intense workout are offered daily in a small-group-class setting. Expect sprints and moves you’d find at a boot camp (squats, push-ups, etc.), as well as weight lifting, done in repetitions to suit your fitness level, strength, and desired build.
The Deal: For the month of January, CrossFit NYC is offering 20 percent off their two-week-long “Element Workshops” series during January (normally $300), which is required to become a member.

The Goal: Become a Master Yogi
The Place: Dharma Yoga Center

The Workout: Well-known yogi Dharma Mittra’s Gramercy Park studio offers introductory Vinyasa-style classes for beginners and inversion-heavy sessions for more advanced students.
The Deal: In addition to offering pay-by-donation classes on New Year’s day, the studio will offer its Sampler Pass ($40 for six classes, normally $12 to $15 each) through the new year.

The Goal: Gain Strength

The Workout: At this Upper East Side boxing studio, former national boxing champion Adelino DaCosta and his team of instructors offer personal training sessions that mimic the workouts of a fighter.
The Deal: For the month of January, Punch is waiving the $500 enrollment fee for new students who buy class packages.
