Fall Fashion: Date Night

You know, “going out” used to mean something a little bit different than it does at the moment. It used to involve things like long lines, loud music, overpriced drinks, extremely uncomfortable shoes, and hours like 3 A.M.

Nowadays, if I’m up at 3 A.M. it’s because I’m making a bottle.

So date nights these days are a whole other thing: they’re probably about a really nice steak and some wine, or a romantic late-afternoon walk with a thermos of spiked hot chocolate.

A picnic basket may come along for the ride. Dogs are probably present and accounted for. And I may or may not have a very small person strapped to my chest in a carrier (hey, the only thing better than a romantic dinner for two is a fun dinner for three).

BUT. That does not mean that I can’t wear faux fur, fishnets, and fabulous boots while eating my steak and drinking my hot chocolate.

And, just in case a long walk home through the fall leaves is in order, let’s go ahead and make sure those boots as cozy as they are gorgeous.

(Ooh, fall clothing, welcome back. I love you so.)
