Give a carefully designed Valentine's Day bouquet from one of these local florists.


Park Delicatessen

With flowers and greenery from the United States (Massachusetts, California, and upstate New York) and abroad (Holland, Israel, and Ecuador), the 722 arrangement is a colorful mix of hydrangea, genista, kalanchoe, astrantia, lisianthus, anemone, ranunculus, and roses. At $145, it comes in a cylindrical glass vase. "I like that our arrangements have elements of classic floral design but have touches of a more modern aesthetic without going off the deep end," says owner and designer Michael J. Sclafani. "There is balance and a huge amount of petal flowers in it."


Barbara's Flowers

A departure from a traditional design with long-stemmed roses, the Cosmos en Rouge features deep-red amaryllis, roses, cosmos, ivy, viburnum, and miniature calla lilies tightly bundled in a matte-finished bronze ceramic vase for $225. "I love love love using mixed metals with our work," says owner and creative director Tara Simone Powell.


Bloom Flowers

Light and dark contrast in the Cherish arrangement that includes garden roses, anenomes, calla lilies, ranunculus, and hydrangeas clustered in a tall black glass vase. Each arrangement comes with 33 flowers for $385. "I love the mix of the soft romantic pale color palette along with the various textures of each type of flower," says owner Kimberly Perrone.

The Flowery Heart arrangement is exactly what it seems: mini garden roses positioned in a heart shape using floral foam. Packaged in a mirrored vase, this handmade bouquet runs $150. "It is not the traditional flowers in a vase," says owner Victoria Ahn. "It still has a classic look, but is still unique."

With seasonal anemones and ranunculus—as well as Japanese spirea, mini Dutch carnations, camellia foliage, privet berry, and umbrella fern—this whimsical arrangement can be packaged in a vase or as a hand-tied bouquet ($175 for either option). "It is romantic, lush, gestural, and a reminder that spring is just around the corner," says owner Kathleen Hyppolite. (Preorder by February 12 recommended.)

The Dolly Parton bouquet is as bright and attention-grabbing as its namesake. It features asclepia, roses, ranunculus, daffodils, craspedia, eucalyptus, ornithogalum, lisianthus, and asparagus fern in a glass apothecary jar for $85.

The White Hot Rose Crate is not the typical collection of a dozen long-stems. It features a "hedge" of two dozen white roses lined up in a handmade wooden crate with moss for $240. "The great and unique aspect of this gift is that the roses dry in the crate and can be kept for months," says founder and creative director Gaige Clark.

These seasonal flowers include a mix of garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, lisianthus, sweet pea, and eucalyptus heaped in a recycled footed bowl for $240. Owner and creative director Ingrid Carozzi says this bouquet features antique colors and is "loose, wild, and abundant."
