First Look: An Italian Fling (In the Kitchen)

When Alessi, maker of high-design kitchenware, set out looking for a temporary home while its flagship store underwent renovations, Scavolini, maker of high-design kitchens, made sense. From now until the beginning of May, Alessi will operate as a store-in-a-store within Scavolini’s Soho showroom. Tonight also marks the first in the partnership’s “Italy Comes Alive!” series of cooking demonstrations from some of New York’s best chefs. At tonight’s event, Mark Ladner of Del Posto will demonstrate Italian cooking at home. Subsequent events will make use of Alessi’s baking and espresso-related pieces.
