When we ran into Kelly Killoren Bensimon at last night’s HamptonsUndercover.com party, at Highbar, we immediately wanted to ask her about two very important things: her new role on The Real Housewives of New York City and the “child whisperer” she recently hired to tame her feral children. She wouldn’t talk about the show, but she would say what the secret was to her super-nanny. “She was the woman who watched Woody Allen when he was with his children,” she explained. [Ed: Eeeeee!] And the woman makes delicious desserts! “They love it,” Bensimon says. “They’re like, ‘Who is this lady? She’s really cool, she’s really funny, and she makes really cool cakes.’ It’s really fun to have someone that’s really talented and really insightful and really concerned about my kids.”

Bensimon also let us in on what she’s been up to lately. Namely: shark diving off of Montauk. “I actually dove in a tank. And then I dove with sharks by myself,” she said. “It was so great to be there with nature. But it was also bittersweet. Although it was amazing to swim with them, it was their ocean, and I kind of felt like I was taking over their ocean.” So why was she playing this dangerous game? “I was actually being shot by Plum TV for their Shark Week,” she explained. “Discovery did their Shark Week, and Plum did their Shark Week with me.” Oh, of course! —Maridel Reyes
