Trig Palin Is No. 5 on the ‘Details’ Power 40 List

Power summit.

Details magazine has released its “Power 40” list, and it’s filled with some predictable names: Neel Kashkari, Tom Cruise, David Plouffe, a Jonas brother, A-Rod, Bobby Jindal. An interesting choice for No. 1 is Obama’s Secret Service agent, which is a little macabre, but also maybe a good point. There are also some creative “man types” that make the list, like “the preppy,” “the broken soldier,” and “the comic book geek.” But our favorite listing is absolutely No. 5, Trig Palin. The Down Syndrome pro-life symbol, who adorably (but also somewhat lifelessly) occupied the national stage for two months while his mother ran to be vice-president, is apparently one of the most powerful men in the nation. He shares his spot with his father, Alaska “First Dude” Todd Palin; his older brother, soldier Track Palin; and Levi “Sex on Skates” Johnston. “The Palin double-wide didn’t make it all the way to the White House lawn, the damage is done,” the mag explains. “To the rest of the world, the Palin Boys serve as stand-ins for two (or three, depending on whom you believe) generations of the American male. God help us.” Hey, speak for yourselves, Details editors. Track Palin and Levi Johnston can park their double-wides on our lawn any time.
